(NYT19) NEW YORK -- Sept. 2, 2003 -- TEN-US-OPEN-4 -- Roger Federer of Switzerland plays miniature golf in the players area at Flushing Meadows during a rain delay at the US Open tennis championships, Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2003. Federer, who won the 2003 Wimbleton, was scheduled to play against David Nalbandian as the 3rd match in the Arthur Ashe Stadium Tuesday. Playing with him is Swiss player Allegro Yves (in red cap). Persistent drizzle continued to delay the start of play at the U.S. Open on Tuesday which helped to intensify the scheduling headaches for organizers on day nine of competition. (Marilynn K.
