(NYT7) MONROE, N.Y. -- Aug. 30, 2002 -- ADV. FOR SUN., SEPT. 1 -- AUTOS-DAEWOO -- Customers and dealers have been left in limbo by General Motors' deal to acquire assets of Daewoo, the failing South Korean automaker, but not the bankrupt American sales operation. Daewoo cars have been offered at steep discounts, but parts are hard to find and warranty protection is questionable. Even without factory support, Marc Treiber is still selling Daewoos in Monroe, N.Y. Treiber at his showroom in August. (George M. Gutierrez/The New York Times)
