(NYT8) GREELEY, Colo. -- July 21, 2002 -- COLO-MEAT-2 -- The scent of trouble follows reports that E. coli bacteria from animals processed here at the ConAgra Beef Company's meatpacking plant in Greeley, CO., sickened 19 people in six states. Prompted by the Agriculture Department, the plant owner, the cobiConAgracoei Beef Company, recalled 354,200 pounds of beef on June 30 and an additional 18.7 million pounds on Friday.
