(NYT2) NEW YORK -- July 19, 2002 -- GIULIANI-JUDGE-PROFILE -- Now that the divorce of former Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani is settled, let us zoom in on Judith J. Gische, the judge who so often said "No'' to the former mayor. Justice Gische, 46, raised in Queens, educated entirely in the public school system, also delivered many nos to Giuliani's wife, the television personality and actress, Donna Hanover, during the 18-month court battle. "It was the issue of whether J.N. had the right to be in the mansion or whether I had the right to exclude her while the children were there.'' says Justice Judith J. Gische. Gische in her chambers at the Supreme Court in lower Manhattan. (Chester Higgins Jr./The New York Times)
