(NYT54) NEW YORK -- Feb. 19, 2003 -- NY-CIVIL-WAR-BATTLE -- A re-enactment of the Battle of Chancellorsville, the Civil War engagement known as Gen. Robert E. Lee's greatest victory had been arranged by Warner Brothers to publicize the film "Gods and Generals,'' which opens Friday. Never mind that the actual battle was fought in a dense forest in Virginia in April and May, not on an open field in a New York park in February during the worst snow storm in seven years. Opposing sides open fire on each other at the re-enactment in Central Park, on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2003. (Angel Franco/The New York Times)
