(NYT10) NEWARK, N.J. -- Jan. 9, 2003 -- NJ-NEWARK-ABUSE -- Jean Claude Dessources who let Sherry Murphy, a go-go dancer wanted in connection with the killing of one and the abuse of two other young brothers in Newark, N.J., stay at his home, talks to reporters Thursday, Jan. 9, 2003, after turning in Murphy, in front of his house in Newark. Authorities had looked as far as North Carolina for Murphy, 41, since Saturday, when two brothers were found starving and emaciated in her Newark home's basement. The next day, authorities returned to the home and discovered the mummified body of the older boy's twin brother in a purple plastic storage bin. On Wednesday, Dessources sent the woman to his cousin's apartment next door and then told police, "'I believe the woman staying with me is the woman you're looking for,"' James said.
