(NYT17) NEW YORK -- Nov. 15, 2002 -- BLACK-PEOPLE-LOVE-US -- The website, www.blackpeoplelovesus.com, has only been in existence for a month, but the site has already received 600,000 visitors, surprising its creators Chelsea Peretti, a comic, and her brother Jonah, an adjunct professor at the Parsons School of Design. The site follows Sally and Johnny, a smiling, waspy-white couple, who claim to have mastered the art of making friends with African Americans. The fictional white couple were created as a form of "social activism,'' to stimulate conversations about race. The Peretti's in N.Y. (Librado Romero/The New York Times)
