Ethiopia, 04 November 2013 Inhabitant from the village of Karmi in Gambella weed a banana plantation and then sitting under a hut picking pumpkin leaves. The banana plantation was formed by a village association formed for income generation and ???female empowerment???. Banana plants were given by the government as seedlings about 2 ?? years ago. The women say they are happy there but there is not enough food to go around. Akongo Owar (doesn???t know her age), Akach Ochan, 70, Ajiwero Ogar, 45, Akello Kwot, 55, Achalla Ogur, 60, Alwoch Ojulu, 75, Adwogi Cham, 30, Beyi Othuru, 37. The village of Karmi in Gambella lies besides the Baro River. The Anuak people living there were relocated to the site as part of the Government ???Villagisation??? program that seeks to bring, according the Ethiopian Government, essential services to the people of Gambella.
