Safari Doctors has recently opened a permanent medical clinic in Shela Village, Kenya, amid the mosques and boutique homes frequented by Kenyans and foreigners alike, on on August 25, 2023.
Each month for a week a medical team called the Safari Doctors set sail through the Lamu archipelago to provide care to the most isolated and vulnerable populations. In their mission, the Safari Doctors are confronted with neglected diseases but also with the permanent threat of an armed group plaguing the region.
