Uganda, Hoima, October 5th 2016 A woman holds her dead newborn grandson just after birth. Her daughter, Joy Katusabi, 25, at her first pregnancy, didnt feel the child move for 2 days so she went to the health center and they referred her to Hoima. When she arrived her child had been already dead for 5 days. She was induced contractions and delivered with pain. The child had slight signs of possible congenital malformations which could explain the premature labour and death. In Uganda, 16 women die everyday from childbirth-related complications and 76 newborns in every 1,000 do not reach the age of one. Sa fille, Joy Katusabi, 25 ans, au moment de sa premicre grossesse, ne sentait plus l'enfant bouger depuis deux jours, elle s'est donc rendue au centre de soin qui l'a redirige vers l'h?pital de Hoima. Quand elle est arrive son enfant etait dejr mort depuis cinq jours. On stimula de fausses contractions et elle accoucha dans la douleur. L'enfant avait de leger signes de malformations congenitales qui pourrait expliquer la naissance premature et la mort.
