Uganda, Hoima, October 4th 2016 The head nurse of Cangoroo unit in Hoima Hospital tries to feel the heart beat of a 1 day old baby who just passed away as a consequence of sever asphyxia experienced at birth, despite the reanimation and the oxygen given for 24 hours. The mother, a 19 years old girl, had long obstructed labour that was handled at home first. When it became too difficult she was brought to the hospital and she had a C-section but the child was born with an Apgar score of 2, had already suffered birth asphyxia and scalp haematoma.
