Story from Jam Press (Nuclear Bunker) Pictured: Inside the worlds deepest Nuclear bunker designed for 2,000 people. Man discovers deepest nuclear bunker in the world designed for 2,200 people An urban explorer has discovered what appears to be the deepest nuclear bunker in the world - with room for over 2,000 people. Karsten, a content creator, found the Cold War bunker under a Eurpoean capital. He claims it was built in 1952, at the same time as the city’s subway so no one would notice. He shared a video to Instagram in which he documents the discovery and it has gathered over 31 million views so far. “The bunker was designed for 2,200 people with an area of 3,500-3,800 square metres,” the content creator, from Germany, told What's The Jam. “It was completed between 1962 to 1963. “It was also equipped with a ventilation system that could filter 4000 cubic meters of air and radioactive dust. “A water tank of 150 cubic metres was also placed in there, as well as a generator that was able to generate 30 kW of electricity. “A huge emergency exit was also created, which was also built for ventilation. “The bunker was never used and was kept ready until the mid-1970s in case of a nuclear war.” Karsten says exploring the bunker was daunting but rewarding. He said: “It was extremely scary.“Anyone with claustrophobia is definitely out of place down there. “The air was very oppressive and bad. “But it was extremely exciting to explore such a gigantic facility with my own eyes.” In the clip shared to social media, Karsten can be seen walking down some steps which lead to a brick wall. He shows a hole in the wall, before crawling through it and exploring with his torch. He then walks down sets upon sets of stairs, showing just how deep the bunker goes.He comes across machinery, wires, tunnels and empty rooms. The post was captioned: “Would you dare to explore it?” It has gained over 911,00 likes, as well as thousands of com
