Lud Rohingya w Bangladeszu - Redux
Cardboard and plastic are weighed on a scale for recycling. Around the Rohingya refugee camps many children are finding work collecting and selling plastic to Bangladeshi traders. The work is usually done by boys but some younger girls also do this. As there is only school for a few hours a day for the best served, this activity would not necessarily cut into their education. The trader seen in these photos is set up in BaluKhali 2 Camp near a main road. Every day children show up with their bags of plastic or cardboard. It is weighed the amounts registered in a notebook and the children are paid. The jar of gum on the table is for making up small amounts when there is not the right change.
