The Central bar is filled with posters from all three of the Godfather movies and bottles of Godfather amaretto and Godfather limoncello and Corleone beer. Beginning in the 1960s, the town of Corleone became famous for its Mafia, being the town in which some well-known clans had their headquarters. One of the known mafiosi is Toto Riina. Another reason for its celebrity is that the name of the town was used as the adopted surname of the main character in Francis Ford Coppola's film, The Godfather. Libera Terra ("Freed Land") is an Italian association born to promotes protest action against the Mafia phenomenon. After a social and productive rehabilitation of assets freed, the organization aims to obtain high quality products, which respect both the environment and the dignity of its workers.
