Iraq, Kurdistan, Qizqapan, 11 May 2017 The archeological site of Qizqapan is located 50 km west of slemani in the Chami n valley and near Zarzi cave. It is 17 km east of Dokan, just below the mountain, opposite Haulan village. The site consists of a corridor, three rooms and three tombs carved out of stone. Two columns and the statues of two kings can be found inside Qizqapan and various engravings decorate the walls. A second section consists of three rooms and each contains a tomb carved out of stone, although the contents of the tombs are long gone. The history of Qizqapan goes back to the period of King Mads period, 650 years BC, and is thought to be the site of the grave of King Kaixosraw. The statues are of two sitting leaders, each wearing the clothes of a different tribe, apparently negotiating around a table to end the war between them. On the left-hand side, there is a carving of Zaradisht with open wings. There are different interpretations of the origins of the site but it is a significant archeological location, comparable to Petra in Jordan. Deux colonnes et les statues de deux rois peuvent etre observes r l'interieur de Qizqapan et diverses gravures decorent les murs. Une deuxicme section est constituee de trois picces, chacune contenant une tombe sculptee dans la pierre, bien que le contenu des tombes aient disparus depuis longtemps. L'histoire de Qizqapan remonte r l"epoque du roi Mads, 650 ans avant notre cre, et on pense qu'il contient la tombe du roi Kaixosraw.
