TO GO WITH AFP STORY BY CLARA LALANNE
Visitors listen to tour guide Ruby Maidment during a visit to discover the sets of the Netflix series "Bridgerton", in Bath, western England, on July 16, 2024. According to tour operator Expedia, films and television series have become the number one source of travel inspiration, ahead of social networks, and 39% of tourists surveyed said they had chosen a destination after seeing it in a film or on television. This trend has a name: "set-jetting", or "cinema-tourism". It has exploded in recent years with the rise of streaming platforms, and has accelerated even further since the Covid-19 pandemic.
