One of the unaccompanied minors refugees at the Long Jump. When they arrived at the Stadium, they wanted to discover and perform all the games, while before they thought to play only football. "Last Run, you can make it!" shouts the voice of the chronicler at the microphone, while the guys are running for the 1,400 meters. The Olympic Games at the Palm Stadium in Palermo started in the early afternoon of a Ramadan day and some underage refugees from the reception centers in Sicily gathered there. The large majority come from West Africa, but few are from Egypt, Somalia and Eritrea. They were rescued in the Mediterranean Sea and now they are enjoying a new life. While the legal status as refugees often leave them in a limbo for months, at the Olympic games in Palermo they enjoyed the unexpected: to discover -or re- discover- their talents, running for the 100 or 400 meters, making the Long or High Jump, playing football, basketball, volleyball, holding a cup and a medal, play in teams. "It's my Dream!" says smiling Mustafa Camara, 17 years old, from Gambia, after winning the 100m at the Games "I was running professionally in my country, I want to continue!". Through this photo series we want to show these African guys, who were rescued recently at sea, at the best of their moments when they can dream a better future in Italy, also through the sports they love.
