Hiszpania - Barcelona - Redux
Tourists take a photo in front of La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, Spain, July 22, 2017. The still unfinished church is one of the tourist hotspots of the city. Over recent years, the number of tourists coming to Barcelona has increased sharply. Since 2009, the yearly number of hotel nights has doubled to 8 million. An estimated total of 30 million people visited the city in 2016. Residents are getting increasingly upset and the city is taking measures to lower impact of tourism on the local population.
