Volkswagen AG has two Chinese joint ventures, Shanghai Volkswagen and FAW Volkswagen. Volkswagen AG signed on 14 July 2004 a 1.42 billion yuan (170 million dollars) deal for an auto parts facility in China with mainland joint venture partner First Automotive Works (FAW).
