Barack Obama appeared to be on fine form last night as he entertained the crowd at the White House Correspondents' Association Gala. Putting aside his troubles for the evening, the President cheerfully turned comic-in-chief, poking fun at the likes of former presidential rival Hillary Clinton and Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner. And even his reputation for having an oversized-ego provided Obama with humorous fodder. Speaking to a crowd of around 2,500, the President also wasn't afraid to stray in to potentially controversial territory - at one point touching on the sensitive issue of water boarding terrorist suspects. His remarks were directed at an audience that included its fair share of A-listers, including Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, Steven Spielberg, Jon Bon Jovi, Samuel L Jackson, Eva Longoria Parker and Sting. The night's paid entertainment came from comedian Wanda Sykes, who took the opportunity to poke gentle fun at Obama but saved her most cutting remarks for other targets.
