Israel's Labour party leader Yitzhak Rabin (c) is greeted by supporters 21 June 1992 during an election campaign stop in a right-wing Likud party stronghold settlement of Maale Adumin. Two days later, the Labour party won the general elections and Rabin became the new Prime minister. After making peace with the Palestinians, he was shot to death by a Jewish right-wing extremist shortly after making a speech at a pro-peace rally in Tel Aviv 04 November 1995.
