Vaclav Havel (R), a dissident playwright and leading member of the Czechoslovak opposition Civic Forum (Obcanske Forum), who drafted large parts of Charter 77, the declaration which helped attract international attention to the civil rights abuses in Czechoslovakia, negotiates 26 November 1989 in Prague with current communist Premier Ladislav Adamec (2nd-L) while the future new Prime Minister Marian Calfa (3rd-L), from Slovak dissident movement the "Public Against Violence" watches. A new government was formed by Marian Calfa 09 December 1989; it included just nine members of the Czechoslovak Communist Party (several of whom actively cooperated with the Civic Forum); two members of the Czechoslovak Socialist Party; two members of the Czechoslovak People's Party; and seven ministers with no party affiliation - all of latter were Civic Forum or Public Against Violence activists.
