Croatia, Osijek, 14 November 2017 75 year old Erna Muller spent 26 years in institutions for adults with mental health problems before moving into an apartment in the Croatian city of Osijek in 2014 as part of deinstitutionalization program led by the director of the ???Center For Providing Services In The Community,??? Ladislav Lamza. Slavica lives with her boyfriend in an apartment in Osijek. Talking about life now she says ??sIt???s almost perfect here. The food is much better, there is no stealing. Sometimes there is a little quarrel especially at the beginning, but time has past by we???ve become better friends and now there are almost no quarrels.??? She adds: ??sin the institution we just had to be satisfied with what we were given to eat, we had no choice. The food was the worst thing about the institution.???
