Countess Krystyna Skarbek, 37 years old polish noblewoman with a brilliant record as a British wartime spy, was found stabbed to death, June 16, 1952 in a Kensington, London Hotel. Scotland Yard said that a porter confessed the slaying. The beautiful countess served in France under the French Maquisards and accomplished daring feats of sabotage against the Nazis. She became a naturalized Briton in 1947 and recently signed on as a stewardess on a liner. (AP Photo)
