This U.S.A.F. C-123 transport plane, pictured March 22, 1968, is the grave for 50 Americans. It was downed 5 miles from Khe Sanh when North Vietnamese gunners shot it down it as it circled near the Marine base waiting for a clear runway on March 9. The craft crashed into a three-canopy jungle, controlled by the North Vietnamese. All the 44 Marines, 5 crewmen and an American photographer Robert Ellison are presumed dead. (AP Photo/Rick Merron)
