A undated handout photo of NASA astronaut Paul J. Weitz, suited up for Skylab training at the Manned Spacecraft Center in 1973. Weitz, an astronaut who was in the first crew to board the Skylab space station and 10 years later commanded the initial flight of the space shuttle Challenger, died on Oct. 23, 2017 in Flagstaff, Ariz.
