Several dozen people attended a rally in front of parliament during a vote on a new bill that will restrict foreign ownership of media companies. Critics argue that passing of the bill will signify the end of independent media in Poland. US owned broadcaster TVN is applying for renewal of it's license which expires in September but fears it's US ownership will get in the way and that the Polish government will buy up the shares currently owned by Discovery Networks.
