The Walton Avenue School PS 294 is an intercultural and multilingual learning community of knowledgeable, inquiring, caring, and collaborative thinkers. Each child actively participates in a rigorous educational experience that directly impacts our local, national, and global community. Students rely on the contributions of teachers, parents, and community organizations to support them to become lifelong learners. 294 takes pride in celebrating the uniqueness of the individual and the community. All Elementary Schools K-5 and K-8 including students in Grades 6-8 in K-8 schools, In-Person Learning begins on Tuesday, September 29. If the percent of positive tests in New York City is equal to or greater than 3% using a 7-day rolling average, if we cross this threshold, schools will close. To ensure the health and safety of all students, staff, and families, we are encouraging everyone coming into our school buildings to get tested for COVID-19. Safe, free, and easy for everyone regardless of immigration or insurance status, and your test results are confidential.
