This undated file photo shows bodies of Chinese people slaughtered by the Japanese Army in Nanjing, east China, during the Nanjing Massacre in World War II. The Nanjing Massacre represents the most brutal and savage of atrocities committed throughout the Japanese occupation of China during WWII. On Dec. 13, 1937 when Japanese invaders first occupied Nanjing, they began six weeks of destruction, pillage and slaughter in the city, which were planned, organized and purposefully executed by the Japanese Army. Over 300,000 Chinese, including defenseless civilians and unarmed soldiers, were murdered, together with countless cases of rape, looting and arson./CHINENOUVELLE_1937.C.003
