AYDIN, TURKIYE - AUGUST 9 : A view of Aphrodisias Ancient City, which is famous in antiquity for its sanctuary of Aphrodite and its marble sculptors, in Aydin province of Turkiye on August 9, 2022. Known as the most magnificent of the cities dedicated to Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty in mythology, Aphrodisias took its place among the best sculptor centers of the Roman period. The city pool, Tetrapylon Gate, Sebasteion Temple, ancient theater, bath, and especially the stadium which have had a maximum capacity for around 30,000 spectators, are the areas that attract the most attention in the ancient city. Excavations resumed after 36 years in the area where the "Kybele House” is located which was named after the Kybele statue found in it, dating back to the 5th and 6th centuries AD.
