A ZIL car factory worker has a big poster as she, along with her fellow workers, picket Moscow???s White House, Wednesday, April 20, 1994. Over 500 workers of the Moscow ZIL car factory began to picket the government building demanding a revision of tax policy, repayment of wage debts and adequate investment in social programs. The poster reads ??sFords and Mercedes Benzes are not for Russian roads???, hinting that the ZIL is designed to hold up better on bad Russian roads.
