Wages for more than 46,000,000 man-hours of labor in 1934 became an actuality with the signing, recently, of contracts with the Pennsylvania R.R. Co. under which the public works administration will loan that company $77,000,000 to be used for finishing electrification between Philadelphia and Washington. There will also be building 7,000 new freight cars and 100 electric locomotives. Left to right: A.J. County, Vice-President of Pennsylvania R.R. In charge of finance and corporate relations; B.V.
