Miss Maude K. Wetmore of Newport and 1 Beekman Place, New York, former President of the Women?s National Republican Club, New York, died of a heart attack at her estate, Chateau-sur-Mer in Newport, Rhode Island on Nov. 3, 1951. Her age was 78. Miss Wetmore, who had planned to go next Thursday to New York to spend the winter, leaves a sister, Miss Edith Wetmore, with whom she shared a New York apartment. Born in Paris, she was a daughter of George, Peabody Wetmore who served as Governor of Rhode Island in 1885-87. (AP Photo)
