** FILE ** Mary Goedken sits in her Monticello, Iowa, home, Sept. 21, 1997, next to the high school photographs of her 11 children, six of whom were hemophiliacs, five of whom died from the AIDS virus after becoming infected with HIV. Mary also lost two daughters-in-law and a grandson to AIDS who were infected through two of her sons. Goedke died Monday, Feb. 13, 2006, in a Monticello nursing home following a brief illness.
