SALOME lives with her granddaughter Bertha MWAMAGIGISI VILLAGE. Salome was accused of being a witch by the community because, after being widowed, she was very poor. As a result of an income generation project, growing and selling groundnuts, established by Marparece, a local NGO, she is now able to make enough money to send her two grandchildren to school and has gained some respect from the local community.
