Volunteers have come forward to try and save a historic hillside chalk figure which has almost vanished during the Covid-19 pandemic. The Osmington White Horse was carved 216 years ago in tribute to King George III who enjoyed visiting the nearby resort of Weymouth. But today just a faint outline of the 280ft by 320ft carving can be seen due to 10 months of neglect. Osmington White Horse, Weymouth, Dorset, UK - 06 Mar 2012
