TAI O, HONG KONG: HARROWING images taken by a former British police officer of Vietnamese refugees arriving on boats to Hong Kong have been published for the first time in a new book. In one image, Vietnamese men, women and children can be seen piled onto a makeshift boat with their eyes glued to the Hong Kong maritime boundary. Another image showed Vietnamese children lined up along a fence among the refugees by border patrol. The fascinating images have been released in the new book Along The Southern Boundary by Les Bird and is published by Blacksmith Books.
