The amazing moment was captured by underwater cameraman Ben Burville. NORTHUMBERLAND, UK: FOOTAGE has captured the adorable moment an incredibly affectionate seal pup posed for selfies with a diver, in a bid to show that the title of man?s best friend is up for debate. In the video footage, a 600-pound grey seal could be seen snuggling up and brushing its whiskers against a diver?s face. The diver then reciprocated this affection and tickled his new friend under the chin, causing the marine mammal to playfully nip at his gloves. The amazing moment was captured by GP and underwater cameraman Ben Burville from Northumberland, UK, who was studying the behaviour of the wild mammals in the North Sea. Ben spent five minutes with the adorable seal whilst carrying out his research off the Farne Islands in Northumberland. Ben used a Sony HDR AS50 and a variety of GoPro cameras to capture the seals on camera. Native to the North Atlantic, the grey seal is the largest carnivorous mammal in the UK. Their scientific name, halichoerus grypus, translates from Latin to English as ?hook-nosed sea pig.' mediadrumworld.com / Ben Burville
