Robert Downey Jr. has admitted Gwyneth Paltrow turned to him, begging for his advice on how to play a drunk. Gwyneth took on the role as a troubled country music superstar battling addiction in her new movie, 'Country Strong'. But the health-conscious and clean-living actress had no idea what it was like to be so wayward, so she turned to her friend, Downy Jr., who has famously battled addiction and has even been in jail over it. 'She said, 'I'm playing a drunk - what should i do?',' Downey Jr. recalled Gwyneth saying as she reached out to him. 'I sent her a long self-important email about the psychological misgivings one would have. She said it helped', said Downey Jr., as he spoke on the red carpet of the Golden Globes. He has also since seen the movie and said, "It's fantastic."
