STORY COPY: The United States made a mighty show of force on Monday (19 Nov) - by showing off 35 deadly F-35 Lightning II jet fighters they say "are ready to deploy anywhere in the world at a moment???s notice". The aircraft were shown lining up on the runway at Hill Air Force Base in Utah. The U.S. Air Force 388th Fighter Wing stated: "F-35A pilots from the 388th and 419th Fighter Wing prepare for takeoff as part of a combat power exercise happening now at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. The exercise aims to confirm their ability to quickly employ a large force of jets against air and ground targets, and demonstrate the readiness and lethality of the F-35 Lightning II. As the first combat-ready F-35 units in the Air Force, the 388th and 419th FWs are ready to deploy anywhere in the world at a moment???s notice." The 419th Fighter Wing said: "Thanks, Utah, for embracing the sound of freedom today as we proved our ability to launch the F-35 Lightning II en masse."
