Himba children are breastfeeding and staying with their mothers until they are 2 years old. All people of tribe take care of children. They raise and play together.
Texte: Le peuple Himba est de loin l un des peuples les plus souriants et accueillants de l afrique Australe.
Neanmoins, suite a un passe douloureux et l invasion des touristes il est conseille de ne pas venir a l improviste.
L accompagnement d un guide ( souvent un ancien Himba ) vous permettra d en apprendre beaucoup sur ce peuple fascinant et traduira pour vous vos questions. .
Si ce peuple a su conserve ses traditions c est en partie a (cause/grace) a l isolement .
A l origine , les Himbas , sous groupe des herero ayant participe aux premiГЁres migrations bantoues, etait un peuple nomade vivant de cueillette et de chasse venu d Afrique centrale.
Malheureusement ils ont du essuye de nombreux conflits ethniques et c est le gouvernement allemand qui met fin a leur massacre en les placant dans des reserve separes de celles des Namas, afin de faire regner la paix entre les deux peuples.
Les Himba se retrouveront tout au nord Ouest dans la rГ'gion de Kuene anciennement Kaokoland. Dans cette region reculee, ils ont su adapter au milieu de nul part a un climat extremement aride.
La survie des himba se fait grace a la cohesion des different clans et villages.
