Kinshasa, Congo - working man has to carry bags with charcoal. Boats laden with bags of charcoal from the interior moor in a harbour to the northeast of the capital. Kinshasa gobbles up charcoal, up to five million m3 a year. Bustling harbours like this one attract sellers, of cigarettes and alcohol, of streetfood and radios. Their customers are the crews of the many boats that moor here and the many passengers that board transport ships clandestinely.
