Lancara's Mayor, Dario Pineiro (R), late Cuban ex-President Fidel Castro's cousin Manuela Argiz (C), 103, and former Lancara Mayor, Eladio Capon, lay flowers outside the abandoned small limestone house of Castro's father, on which a plaque reads, "Angel Castro Argiz was born in this house in 1875, a Galician who emigrated to Cuba where he planted trees which still blossom", in Lancara, a village some 20 kilometres (12 miles) from Lugo, northwestern Spain, on November 27, 2016.
