Reportage on the E-nable project. The project concept is to put volunteers with a 3D printer in touch with handicapped children who need a hand prosthesis. E-nable puts a website at the users' disposal which allows the dimensions of the prosthesis, as well as the design the child wishes for, to be uploaded. The volunteers deal with printing and assembly of the prosthesis. The 3D plans for the prosthesis are open source which means everyone has access to them and can improve them. The prosthesis is printed and sent free of charge. Thierry joined the community of volunteers in 2014. He received his first request for a prosthesis from a 5-year old girl who lives in England. He is working on producing the prosthesis.
