The sight was captured by photographer Mikael Buck, who comments: "I was amazed by the extent of the purple heather on the Isle of Man this time of year. It covers large parts of the landscape on the island, making it even more spectacular than it already is. The highlight of the trip was hiking along the Rad ny Foillan footpath at sunset as mist covered the coastline. One of those rare moments as a photographer where everything comes together just as you'd hoped and an experience I wont be forgetting anytime soon".
