The intimate and cosy guest room has been lined with a toile from Christopher Howe, the beds made up with Indian paisley covers bought in Jaipur and the crisp white linen is from the French House and Cologne and Cotton. Built in 1850 as a two-up two-down it had been extended at both ends by a previous owner providing a sitting room and a play room TV area opening onto the garden with the kitchen and dining room in-between. An enfilade view through three rooms was a bonus. Although the cottage was in good condition the new owners wanted to put a definite individual stamp on the place and create a sophisticated garden where there was just lawn and a few shrubs. *** TEXT AVAILABLE ***
