TOPSHOTS An official of the Lagos State Signage & Advertisement Agency (LASAA) tries to remove on January 13, 2015 posters of Nigerian President and presidential candidate of the ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP) Goodluck Jonathan displayed along the highway against the environmental guidelines the agency issued to all political parties on indiscriminate use of electoral materials in the state. Recently, Lagos police chief Kayode Aderanti, had accused the Lagos State Signage & Advertisement Agency (LASAA) of removing billboards and posters of candidates of various political parties in the state, thereby creating an uneven playing field for candidates. Nigerians are due to elect a new president on February 14 but there are fears that polling could be ruled out in swathes of the northeast because of the violence. AFP PHOTO / PIUS UTOMI EKPEI
