Exterior facade of 11th century french chapel with olive and cypress trees in garden area Dutch designer Joris van Grinsven lives in what must be one of the most romantic spots imaginable: inside the converted chapel of a ruined castle in the Dordogne. Joris bought the ruin from the family who have owned the chateau for several centuries shortly after relocating from the Netherlands to France. He has since built up a solid reputation as the interior designer of choice for people who have bought property in that part of the world. His piece de resistance as a designer of interiors must surely be the well-known Chateau des Merles nearby which is a chic and luxurious country hotel and restaurant.
