TOPSHOTS A veteran holds the flame of the remembrance as he takes part in a ceremony in tribute to seven unknown soldiers, on November 10, 2013 at the Faubourg-Pave French Cemetery in Verdun, eastern France. Eight bodies of soldiers who served in the French uniform, but that could not be identified were exhumed in eight areas where had occurred the bloodiest battles: in Flanders, Artois, in the Somme, in Ile-de-France, at the Chemin des Dames, in Champagne, Lorraine and Verdun. One of the coffin was moved in 1920 under the Arc de Triomphe, in Paris, but the other seven remained in Verdun. TOPSHOTS/AFP PHOTO / JEAN-CHRISTOPHE VERHAEGEN
