Travelling to Germany and Poland, David will visit Colditz castle and the site of The Great Escape. He will follow in the footsteps of the intrepid men who defied the odds as they made their audacious and derring-do bids for freedom. He will meet some of the veterans who plotted the escape routes, the members of the resistance who helped smuggle people across borders and some of the lucky few who actually managed an escape.
